About this product
The EcoFlow DELTA Pro Smart Extra Battery is an expansion battery designed to extend the capacity of the DELTA Pro power station. Each unit adds 3,600 Wh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) storage, and pairing two of these batteries with a DELTA Pro scales total capacity up to 10.8 kWh, making it a practical option for extended off-grid use or home backup. LFP chemistry is well regarded for its longevity and thermal stability compared to conventional lithium-ion cells. Recharging the extra battery is handled through the DELTA Pro itself, supporting multiple input methods including AC power, solar panels, a Smart Generator, car charging, and EV charging. Compatibility firmware requirements apply for certain DELTA 3 series units, specifically version 7.80.98.44 or above for the DELTA 3 Max Plus and version 7.80.98.46 or above for the DELTA 3 Ultra Plus. This accessory offers a straightforward path to meaningful capacity expansion within the EcoFlow ecosystem.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Smart Extra Battery for its straightforward plug-and-play setup, with many noting that it connects to the DELTA Pro seamlessly and syncs charging and discharging automatically. The significant capacity boost (adding 3,600Wh per unit, up to 10.8kWh with two batteries) is a recurring highlight, and users report it performing reliably during extended outages powering refrigerators, TVs, and internet equipment. Build quality and the LFP battery chemistry, with its long cycle life, also draw consistent praise. The most common criticisms are the unit's substantial weight (around 84 lbs), making it difficult to move alone, the lack of independent output ports on the battery itself (it must be connected to the DELTA Pro to function), and some reported uneven discharge behavior between the main unit and the extra battery in multi-battery setups.
