About this product
The Jackery Solar Generator 5000 Plus is a whole-home backup solution built around a 5,000 Wh LiFePO4 battery pack capable of delivering 7,200 watts of continuous output. Its dual-voltage 120V/240V architecture broadens appliance compatibility to include dryers, water pumps, ovens, air conditioners, EVs, and RVs. A true 0 ms UPS switchover keeps sensitive devices running without interruption during outages. Recharging is notably fast, reaching full capacity in as little as 1.7 hours via AC, up to 4,000 watts of high-voltage solar input, or up to 1,200 watts of low-voltage PV. The LiFePO4 chemistry is rated for more than 10 years of use, backed by a 5-year warranty with two additional optional years. ChargeShield 2.0 technology manages charging efficiency and battery protection, while a companion app enables remote monitoring and scheduled charge/discharge cycles. The unit rolls on integrated wheels with a pull handle, and its optimized CTB structure keeps operating noise to just 30 dB. Compatible solar panels include the Jackery 340X series.

What people are saying
Reviewers consistently praise the Jackery Solar Generator 5000 Plus for its impressive 7,200W output, true 120V/240V dual-voltage capability, and modular expandability up to 60kWh, making it a credible whole-home backup option. The 0ms UPS switching, near-silent operation at around 30dB, durable LiFePO4 battery chemistry rated for 4,000 cycles, and solid build quality earn repeated compliments. The most common criticisms center on the high price point, the unit's substantial weight of around 134 lbs making relocation difficult, and an app that reviewers find underdocumented and prone to Wi-Fi connectivity issues. Real-world solar charging also tends to fall short of advertised maximums, and the lack of a built-in battery heater is flagged as a limitation in cold climates.
